We had the best experience here. The views were breathtaking & the staff was amazing. The staff also spoke English which was so helpful for us to navigate. Breakfast was delicious & prepared fresh. The grounds are so beautiful. It was not only great for couples but family friendly as well.

Decent event location, but not our taste in hotels. The 1-star review, however, is rather for the reaction we received when upon arrival we wanted to cancel the stay—we would have been fine with paying some cancellation fee, but instead of compromise we were met with nothing but aggressive arrogance and frankly incompetence.

We loved our stay at Borgo Baccile in the heart of Abruzzo wine country. The room was beautifully restored and furnished with a large spacious bathroom. But it was the kind and caring staff that was the standout and made our stay so relaxing and pleasant. Jade and Roberto just couldn't do enough for us. The fresh daily breakfast was probably the best we have experienced in Italy in 30 years of travelling here! Special mention for the omelettes...what do they feed those chickens? We dined at Taverna Ducale in nearby Crecchio - an excellent local produce meal. Also dined at La Vineria di Salnitro in the tiny hillside town of San Martino Sula Marrucina. Absolutely worth the 30 minute drive as the food and matching wines were memorable. My father was here in 1943 with the New Zealand Army. The beautifully located and maintained Sangro Commonwealth War Cemetery is well worth a visit to get an appreciation of the scale and tragic circumstances of the fighting in Ortona and Orsogna.

Borgho Baccile is the best place I've ever seen. It is a place between picturesque tiny roads and huge vineyards but it is like a hidden diamond. The service there is better than at many five star hotels I've been at in Italy. The rooms are huge and basically spotless. They have an attention to details that I've never seen. If you have ever looked to stay in the countryside of Italy with five star conditions well look no further than this place. It is incredible and if you love wine that who doesn't they have a diverse variety of different Cantinas all across Italy, and they are great and they have lots of awards that back up my words. Well it is my second time coming to this place in a year, because after the first time that we went to this place, my wife and I were sure that we would love to have a small destination wedding in this place, and we absolutely did. I really have nothing bad to ever say to this place. In a word incredible.
